The annual Trunk-R-Treat event is set to return to the Historic Butler Square on Halloween Day, promising an evening full of family fun, creative costumes, and plenty of candy.
Trunk set-up will begin at 4:00 p.m., with the event officially kicking off at 5:00 p.m. Dozens of decorated trunks are expected to fill the square, offering a safe and festive environment for local children to trick-or-treat.
“This event has really taken off over the last few years since our Trunk-R-Treat Chair, Alicia, took over,” said Chamber Director Cody Morris. “The last couple of years, the line has wrapped around the square and gone on for what feels like days! This year, we’re ending the line at the Tavern Hall, where there will be great photo ops and $1 hot dogs for sale.”
The Butler Chamber of Commerce encourages families to come early, enjoy the atmosphere, and take advantage of the photo opportunities set up around the square. Organizers also remind visitors that after the event, they can continue the community spirit by cheering on the Butler Bears in their home playoff game.
With the combination of festive decorations, delicious treats, and community pride, this year’s Trunk-R-Treat promises to be one of the most exciting Halloween celebrations yet on the Butler Square.
